Dr Marco Esposito is currently an Associate Professor in Research Methods and Evidence-based Medicine and Director of the Specialty in Oral Surgery at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan, Docent in Biomaterials at the Sahlgrenska Academy at Goteborg University, Senior Editor of the Cochrane Collaboration, Editor in Chief of Clinical Trials in Dentistry. Professor Marco graduated with honours in dentistry at the University of Pavia and was awarded a PhD in Biomaterials from the Goteborg University, Sweden. He is a specialist in Periodontics (UK). He created and directed the Postgraduate Dental Specialties courses in Dental Implantology at the University of Manchester (2006-2011) and the European Journal of Oral Implantology (2007-2018). He has authored more than 300 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and book chapters and has given more than 700 lectures and courses at national and international level.
