He studied at the Dental School of the University of Athens (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece), graduating in 1991. In 1994, he completed his Postgraduate training (Master’s Degree) in Paediatric Dentistry. His postgraduate thesis is titled “Enamel Defects on Prematurely Born Children and Children with Coeliac Disease.”

He is a member of many Greek and international scientific societies, has presented and published in his field, and is a reviewer for Greek and international scientific journals.

In 2023 he completed the Laser Mastership Certificate from SOLA (Society of Oral Laser Applications), in Vienna, Austria, and is involved in the oral use and application of lasers.

Since 1997, he has been an associate at the Undergraduate Clinic of Paediatric Dentistry at the Dental School of the University of Athens.

He has been actively working in his dental practice since 1995, focusing mainly on children and people with special needs. He works with his brother Eleftherios—Terry Farmakis, who is a Specialist Endodontist and deals with dental laser applications as well.
